Concepts

The concepts we address in our rehearsals are chosen in order to increase the individual musical
facility of each choir member. They are addressed with the following goals in mind:

  1. Improve musicianship of each choir member in all areas

  2. Help the choir and each of its members function as independent musicians

  3. Make music a strong and important part of praise

  4. Grow by performing challenging repertoire

  5. Bring music of high artistic value to the congregation

[The concepts are listed in the tentative schedule in the 2005 Choir Season Page, or click here]

In order to both expedite and facilitate the concepts discussed in rehearsal, please take advantage of the sites listed below. Also take time to review the exercises from Elementary Training for Musicians. Risking sounding like an infomercial, using these sites or reviewing these materials at least once a week will help you individually, as well as helping the choir as a whole.
